The CES Expo in Las Vegas always promises to bring together the most hotly anticipated new consumer technology, with their abundance of interactive displays and exciting new technology on show to have a play with, it’s no wondered its so popular! The 2014 show certainly does not fail to deliver. Among the plethora of new gadgets, interactive displays and tech featured this year, we have outlined out hot-list of categories.
“Wearables”
‘Wearables’ are things like Smart watches, Fitness Bands and Glasses, all of which make computing power even more immediate than the features accessed in your Smartphone.
Ultra-High-Definition TV
First came HD, then 3D and now we have the 4K or UHD TV. The 4K is four times as detailed as a standard TV image, with broadcasts starting this year by Netflix and YouTube. This appears to be the next generation of TV sets that we as consumers are to invest in. A host of new TV sets are being manufactured from all of the tech giants including Sony, Samsung and Panasonic. Prices are set to fall as the technology becomes more widespread.
Tablets/Handsets
There’s always an abundance of up and coming mobile devices and interactive displays on show at CES Expo’s. With the demand for portable devices only ever increasing, this year has presented us with an innovative new trend – ‘Bendable’ handsets. LG launched its G Flex model, allowing the phone to flex when pressure is applied to the handset.
