POPAI are a global trade association specialising in everything retail marketing, particularly retail design. With an international network of industry professionals, the organisation is over 1,400 strong and spread across 45 different countries. POPAI represent some of the world’s most recognised companies with everything from worldwide recognised brands such as Coca-Cola and Johnson & Johnson under their belt, to desiderata retail giants Walmart and Target.
Point-of-Purchase (P-O-P) advertising is what POPAI are all about, with their key aim being to promote the importance of the marketing strategy to its members. As a non-profit organisation, POPAI are also committed to establishing and maintaining the standards in the retail design industry and providing a community of retailers with the opportunity to share ideas and improve their strategies. POPAI are also dedicated to carrying out in-depth research in the sector, keeping retailers up to speed with the latest findings and developments. A top source of information for companies worldwide, the organisation are providers of professional education and global learning resources, giving its members the opportunity to learn how the retail and marketing industries work in other parts of the world.
The POPAI awards are an annual event, initiated to highlight some of the most creative and innovative practice in the retail sector. Each year, hundreds of companies compete for the top prize in 20 different categories, hoping to be recognised as the best in their sector. Judged by a panel of the country’s leading retail professionals, these awards ensure the most deserving and talented creators are recognised for their work.
POPAI member H Squared won awards in 2010, 2011 and 2012, with 2 awards last year in the ‘Telecoms’ and ‘Digital and New Media’ categories. We are nominated again for the 2013 awards which will be held on Tuesday 1st October and are looking forward to what will hopefully be another successful award winning ceremony for us!
